Gym Mate SMS Workout Reminders

Opt-in documentation for Azure Communication Services verification

Gym Mate users can optionally receive SMS reminders about their workout schedule and app activity. SMS reminders are not required to use Gym Mate and are only sent after the user provides a mobile phone number and gives consent.

SMS reminders are optional and are not required to use Gym Mate.

How users opt in

Users opt in during Gym Mate account setup or from the app's notification and reminder settings. The user enters their mobile phone number and must select the SMS consent checkbox before SMS reminders are enabled. The checkbox is unchecked by default.

Example messages:
  • Gym Mate: Your workout is scheduled for today at 6:00 PM. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Gym Mate: Reminder — you have an upcoming workout tomorrow. Reply STOP to opt out.
  • Gym Mate: Your workout reminder settings were updated. Reply STOP to opt out.

Opt out and help

Users can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Users can request help by replying HELP.

Users may also disable SMS reminders from their Gym Mate notification settings.
